RSA Geotechnics has achieved the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) criteria via the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS). This award reinforces the company’s commitment to meeting the highest UK safety standards.
CHAS is a government run scheme which has been developed by local authority health and safety professionals, with the support of the Health and Safety Executive.
CHAS is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK. It is a non-commercial scheme for organisations seeking suitably competent suppliers. The aim of the scheme is to save time and resources by avoiding unnecessary duplication in the first stage of health and safety competence assessment.
To achieve SSIP pre-qualification, the company’s health and safety policies and procedures were evaluated to establish that safe working practices and sufficient risk assessments are being carried out. With many organisations making SSIP compliance a condition for all contractors working on their sites, RSA Geotechnics decided it was an essential requirement. It additionally provides peace of mind that we conform to the industry’s most widely recognised safety standards scheme.
